Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Aaliya give their marriage a second chance; latter says they have decided to keep their egos aside for their kids’ welfare | Hindi Movie News – Bollywood – Times of India

Some things may have gone wrong along the way for actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his wife Aaliya Siddiqui, but as the proveb goes, ‘all’s well that ends well’, with these two as well, things are now finally returning to normalcy after almost a year-long public spat. The two have decided to withdraw their divorce petition and work on their marriage now. In an exclusive interaction with Etimes, Aaliya talked about the decision to stay together at length and what changed between her and her estranged husband. She said, ‘My daughter Shora, son Yaani and I are at Nawaz’s farmhouse in Kasara. I am expecting him here, soon. He is likely to join us at the farmhouse on April 5.’ Aaliyah further talked about the withdrawal of the divorce petition and said, ‘To begin with, I reiterate that we decided to put our egos aside and think together about the welfare of Shora and Yaani. Our daughter in particular is very close to her father. She has now told me that she is delighted that all’s well that ends well.’ At the same time, things between Aaliyah and her brother-in-law Shamas Siddiqui has also been resolved. In fact, they even played Holi together at the farmhouse and the latter graciously provided us with the pictures from their intimate celebration. Aaliyah confirmed the same and said, ‘Yes, Shamas too is here. We all met very warmly. In fact, we three- Yaani, Shora and I- played Holi with Shamas.’ It was Shamas who drove the kids to his brother’s farmhouse from Mumbai airport where Aaliyah had been waiting for them. Before this, the kids were with Nawaz in Lucknow. When contacted, Shamas had said, ‘Ups and downs are a part of life. We all learn from experiences. Woh waqt guzar gaya. I will do anything for the family. It’s all fine between us now. All’s well. Nawaz bhai is likely to join us on April 5 or 6. And yes, we played Holi together this morning. We are so tired, it’s 10.30 pm as I speak to you now but abhi tak thakavat gayi nahi hai.’ On his bond with the kids and Aaliyah-Nawazuddin’s reconciliation, Shamas had this to say earlier, ‘I love these two kids very much. I can do anything for them. They too love me a lot and everyone (in the family) knows this. Nawaz bhai is the head of the family and whatever is good and right for him will be good and right for us too.’
